Day 31 - Garlic

Although there are many studies promoting the health benefits of garlic, a Stanford study showed that consuming garlic on a daily basis would not lower LDL cholesterol levels.
But garlic has been used for thousands of years and ancient writings have been found documenting medicinal garlic use. Regardless of the controversy, garlic seems to have many health benefits and is a delicious cooking ingredient. It’s always a good idea to keep a few cloves handy to keep the vampires away.

Although I swam for quite a while yesterday, I came home in a snacking mood. Fortunately I don't have too many "bad" foods in the house, but I did stop writing in my journal and probably went over my daily calorie count. I'll eat a little better today and have no more than three healthy meals along with a mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack - at least that's the plan.
