Back on Track - Seriously

I got to Labor Day, came pretty close to my goal, breathed a sigh of relief then slipped back into old habits. I haven't done too much damage because I have kept up some kind of exercise, but a few chips and brownies have found their way into the kitchen along with ice cream and chocolate. The problem is I don't feel overweight and don't feel unfit. Regardless of my thoughts, the scales say something different so I'm back to being serious about weight loss. In February I will be a grandmother and it's more important than ever to stay healthy. My goals have started small - ten pounds by the end of the year, 20 minutes of exercise a day and making more effort to cook a well balanced meal and pack a nutritious lunch. Besides, it's difficult to eat when you're knitting baby sweaters!
Next year I plan to seriously work on losing another 40 pounds. If you want encouragement, stop by Jennifer's blog here. She's been an inspiration to me and looking at her blog always gives me a boost.
