Day One

Looking over the blogs that I usually follow and seeing that some people haven't blogged for months or in one case a year, I don't feel quite so bad at not adding anything lately. The truth is, my New Year's resolution didn't even make it to lunch time on January 1, but after hitting another one of those birthdays that end with a big fat zero I've decided that, having a birth sign of Taurus, I need to take the bull by the horns. I've got into the habit of eating too much processed food, exercise consisting of the occasional walk and some weed pulling which has resulted in feeling sluggish and without much enthusiasm.
After a big thunderstorm last night, today is clear and sunny and the perfect day to lace up the sneakers and get out in the neighborhood. My pedometer isn't working so I'll log minutes instead (1 hour at 3.5 mph = 346 calories). I'll keep you posted on the progress.

its good to see of luck with the dieting...i am going to be doing the same thing...lost a lot lately due to health scare but it is an incentive on some levels...
