Keeping a Journal
Over the years, I've found my most successful weight loss was when I've kept a journal. I received this one from a friend at Christmas and will be using it this year to write down my progress and to keep track of calories. According to many health professionals, success in losing weight is 80% food and 20% exercise. I intend to concentrate more on eating healthy, and not obsess too much about exercise for the time being. Walking, however, is a great stress reducer and if walking at a faster pace releases endorphins.
I was born in England, and in search of a warmer climate, moved to California before settling in Texas. My short stories and flash fiction have been published in the Lutheran Digest, Long Story Short, The Shine Journal, Doorknobs & Bodypaint (both online and in their anthology), Associated Content, Trinity Writers' Workshop newsletters and also their collection of Christmas stories. I am a member of Trinity Writer’s Workshop and currently working on another cozy mystery set in Texas.I reside in Fort Worth, near my daughter and son-in-law, with my son, two boisterous dogs and a somewhat elusive cat.
