Skinny Gut Diet by Brenda Watson

has come out with a book that she says will shed pounds, lose weight and get rid of cravings. Skinny Gut Diet is based on the good and bad bacteria in the gut. These she says have to be in balance, if they are not, it's the bad bacteria that causes cravings as it thrives on foods such as sugar.

On the Dr. Oz Show she talks about a program to adjust what she calls fat bacteria and be skinny bacteria

1.  Fiber flush - Eat 35 grams of fiber per day (for good bacteria) to flush out 245 calories per day and it will also absorb calories.

2.  Eat live foods - Low sugar fruits and vegetables such as onions, leeks and asparagus. Also consider fermented food such as pickles and unsweetened Greek yogurt.

3.  Restrict sugar - This will starve fat bacteria and reduce cravings.
