Day 82 - Strong Women Stay Young
Book Giveaway - Strong Women Stay Young by Miriam E. Nelson has great advice on strength training to reverse bone loss and improve health. Dr. Nelson, as part of her research, studied postmenopausal women. Although the women in her study were healthy, the ones who followed a weight lifting plan for a year showed gains in bone density and were more energetic. Those who continued to lead a sedentary lifestyle had bones and muscles that had aged and they were less active than the previous year.
The book also has exercise suggestions for use both at the gym and at home.
