The one thing I've never liked about cooked oatmeal is the consistency. I think it might have been from salt laden porridge that my grandmother served in Scotland. But lately I've noticed recipes for eating uncooked oats (original not quick oats).
So, my new favorite breakfast is 1/4 cup steel cut oats, 1/2 cup almond milk (left to soak for about 30 minutes or overnight) add a sprinkle of cinnamon and 1/2 banana.
